Another day, another person grilling Travis Kelce about Taylor Swift. This time, that person was Ted Lasso actor Jason Sudeikis.
The hilarious moment happened during a comedic sketch at the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend in Kansas City, Missouri on June 1. In the skit, which was later posted on Instagram, Sudeikis, along with fellow actors Robert Smigel and George Wendt, donned sunglasses, moustaches and baseball caps, dressing up as football fans who supported other teams. Sitting in front of a sign that read, “Super Fans on WWBM,” the three actors grilled Kelce with a series of joke questions—one question, however, got a little too real.
Travis Kelce Reportedly Has “No Plans on Proposing” to Taylor Swift “Anytime Soon”
“Hey Travis, real talk OK, just the guys here,” said Sudeikis in character, before adding, “Hey, when are you going to make an honest woman out of her?”
Kelce grinned in embarrassment as the crowd cheered.
“Taylor doesn’t need to be working anymore. And again, I know your kicker agrees with me, he gets it,” Sudeikis went on, seemingly making a reference to recent comments by Kelce’s teammate Harrison Butker, who suggested in a highly controversial commencement speech that women’s work should ideally take place in the home.

Kelce looked up, paused for a moment, and then simply laughed—but he was careful not to say anything in response to the question.
Since Swift and Kelce made things official back in July 2023, fans have been desperate to know if and when their relationship will move to the next stage. Back in April, it was reported the pair were considering moving in together. This year, they were also spotted on a PDA-filled vacation in Europe.
Nevertheless, it seems that Kelce isn’t planning on proposing anytime soon—despite what Sudeikis might imply. “Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon,” a source recently told Us Weekly. “It’s not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.”
