I’ve been wearing makeup for over a decade, but I’ve only begun wearing concealers in the last two years. The turning point was trying Saie’s Hydrabream Concealer; it’s so buttery, blendable, and subtle that I realized the product category isn’t inherently cursed. I’ve found other covetable and innovative concealers since then, but Saie’s remains close to my heart. When I heard about its new Slip Tint Radiant All-Over Concealer, I was excited but nervous to test it; would it be a sophomore slump or another must-have? Thankfully, after receiving samples and trying it out, I can concretely say that it’s incredible and worth a purchase.
If the name sounds familiar, it’s because the original Slip Tint product is the brand’s beloved Tinted Moisturizer. It was a hit right out of the gate with nearly 4,000 five-star reviews across its website and Sephora; it’s also loved by beauty editors (myself included). Saie is impressive enough that despite Gwyneth Paltrow her own beauty brand, she’s an investor.
All of the best parts of the tinted moisturizer are wrapped into a new formula with some concealer-specific additions. Like its predecessor, the Slip Tint Concealer is weightless with an expansive shade range and undertones that aren’t an afterthought, plus it’s formulated with skincare ingredients and most importantly, looks like your skin. But what the concealer’s highly pigmented formula does differently is swap light coverage for medium to completely neutralize imperfections, while looking seamless when spot-applied, despite its comparatively more matte finish.
When I break out (at least once a month), I can apply this to the angry mountains growing on my face to hide them in plain sight. After they dissipate, I can spot-treat the hyperpigmentation the breakouts leave behind without having to paint over my whole face. Lastly, because it is so pigmented, I can cover my entire face and skip foundation altogether in just three to four small dollops.
Slip Tint Radiant All-Over Concealer is absolutely loaded on the skincare front; the ingredient list reads more like a serum than a concealer. Coconut oil-derived triglycerides hydrate and prevent moisture loss, antioxidant-rich sunflower seed oil soothes inflammation and breakouts, and rice bran extract prevents and heals hyperpigmentation. (It contains a dozen more effective ingredients, but I’ll spare you from reading a thesis.)
Although the tube might seem small for $28, I cannot stress enough how pigmented it is. Before you use it, I recommend scraping product off the doe-foot applicator — you need way less than you think. With all that said, I recommend you head to Saie to shop its new Slip Tint Radiant All-Over Concealer ASAP.
